Theology "Uncorked" Nov 17
Topic: Thankfulness

A casual gathering where we can have a glass of wine, socialize, hear a brief presentation, and ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of our faith.
Time: 7-8:30pm
Location: St Catherine Labouré Parish Hall
Speaker: Fr. Azam Vianney Mansha, CJM
Fr. Azam is a Catholic Biblical Theologian, Mariologist, and the first Eudist priest from Pakistan. He is the Associate Pastor at St. James – St. Leo Catholic Community and teaches Biblical studies for the Diocese of San Diego.
Topic: Thankfulness
The theme of thankfulness and its connection to salvation is wonderfully illustrated in the Sacred Scripture. For instance, the Gospel for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C) highlights a powerful narrative: Healing of 10 lepers. It recounts how nine lepers received physical healing from Jesus and went away, but only one, a Samaritan, returned to express his gratitude. In response to his thankfulness, Jesus not only affirmed his physical healing but also bestowed upon him the gift of salvation, saying, “Your faith has saved you.”
I believe this topic beautifully ties in with the Thanksgiving theme and would make for an engaging and meaningful discussion at the Theology “Uncorked.” Fr. Azam
