Bereavement Ministry
In response to God’s call, to participate in the ministry of consolation, to serve the needs of the grieving family, to assist the priest at the funeral or memorial Mass, to pray for the dead and to comfort those who mourn.
To lessen the family’s burden after a funeral/memorial Mass we offer assistance for a reception in the Parish Hall. The hall may be booked for a two-hour block of time. We provide coffee, lemonade, cookies and paper products.
All Souls Remembrance Mass
Each November the Bereavement Ministry sponsors an All Souls Remembrance Mass. This Mass is for all parishioners to be able to remember their deceased loved ones in a special way. Loved ones names are written in the Book of Remembrance. Parishioners are given a lit candle to carry into the Mass in their memory. This Mass is greatly anticipated and we are happy to do this service for our parish.
